Sure, the concept of scissor legs may sound kind of goofy. But man does Riot just make it work somehow. And if you think the base model is cool, just wait until you see some of her skins. Well that’s exactly what we’re looking into in this ranking. And since no one wants to get anything but the very best, let’s find out which skin comes out on top – but note that this is all just my opinion. Let’s begin!
4. Program Camille
Released: December 12th, 2016 Price: 1350 RP When I saw that this was going to be Camille’s release skin, I was certain I was going to hate it. She already had that cybernetic vibe, so why go full robot? But I was actually pleasantly surprised when I saw the final product. The design for her legs here is honestly top tier – and it really makes you feel like a walking, talking weapon. Plus the fact that your new backing animation also has robots detach your legs & then rebuild them only furthered the immersion and love for this skin. Program Camille’s new particles re equally as impressive, with the passive and the W being the stand-out points for me personally, as they just look fresh as all hell. On top of all of that, you’ve also got additional quotes, which is quite rare and quite valuable, as well as a pretty decent voice filter. So why is it in last place here? Because Camille has two main aesthetics in my mind: that of a technological weapon, and that of a serious commander. And I simply think the commander style got completely scrapped in this skin. I mean, you can’t even see her face!
3. Coven Camille
Released: November 27th, 2018 Price: 1350 RP I wouldn’t usually associate Camille with the occult. But hey, there’s a first time for everything. In terms of the character model, Coven Camille really brings the edge. She literally looks like the empress of hell, with detailed black armor and spiraling horns on her head. The whole occult vibe continues with her particles too – with her ult looking like a death ritual, and her backing animation featuring dozens of crows and plenty of dark magic. Even her passive proc looks more like magic than technology at this point. For this reason, I’m kind of torn on this skin. On the one hand, I can’t deny that she looks extremely badass, and that her chroma selection is just next level. But on the other hand, this barely feels like Camille anymore. So for the time being, I’m just going to leave this skin down here – it definitely feels a lot cooler than Program Camille, but it still doesn’t quite reach the title of “best”.
2. Arcana Camille
Released: May 13th, 2021 Price: 1350 RP Even though Arcana Camille also does lean towards magic more than technology, I think it handles the theme bit better than Coven. For one, her character model here features that same air of royalty that the original design so proudly displays, which makes me feel a bit more at home. You are basically wearing a crown, after all. But beyond that, Arcana Camille takes from interesting sources of inspiration & has quite a few interesting ideas. For example, you have literal faces at your hips, which is creepy as hell. And both your W and R look like some cosmic rituals that might just change the course of history. Okay, that might be a bit dramatic… But I’m not being dramatic when I say this skin has the best backing animation I have ever seen. Seriously, look it up, that alone is worth 1350 RP. Lastly, this skin comes with a pretty wide array of extremely well-made chromas. So why is it not number one? Well, because I think it tried a bit too hard. Some of the particles really hog up the screen – and I don’t need to see tarot cards popping up every five seconds while in a fight.
1. iG Camille
Released: April 23rd, 2019 Price: 1350 RP When it comes to this pick, you either understand me entirely, or think that I’m literally blind. But I can’t lie to myself – and I find iG Camille to be her overall best skin. The character model has that same vibe of elegance like the base model, but it also doesn’t do away with her technological theme either. Her W, passive shield, and R lean a bit on the simpler side of things. But I think that’s a good thing here, as you don’t want your screen too crowded. And if you want some of that coolness factor, look no further than her E where you sprout these beautiful black wings. Those same wings even pop up during your backing animation as you fly away to base. And while the skin might not have any chromas, I do think it has the best splash art of the bunch. So it gets some brownie points there. If you want the most bells and whistles coupled with a cool theme, go Arcana. But if you want a skin that takes what was already good about the base design and makes it even cooler, go iG.
