Once a user account is linked to a Nintendo Account, it can’t be unlinked. You don’t have to disjoin the Nintendo Account before linking it to a second console. Any save data linked with a user account on a Nintendo Switch system will be erased if that user account is deleted from the system.
A user account may be deleted from a Nintendo Switch console if it has been inactive for at least 30 days. Any save data that was linked with the account and stored on the system will also be removed.
A deleted Nintendo Account will result in the loss of all data related to it, including but not limited to: mission progress, points, and rewards in My Nintendo’s rewards program. Digital goods that you bought or received and are linked to your accounts, such as in-app content and coins.
On the left side of your screen, click Account. Select User information then scroll down to the email section and click Edit. To have a verification code emailed to the address on file, click Send an email.
The character will be deleted when you click the “Delete My Character” button. All references to them will be deleted from the island, and villagers won’t speak about them. Before removing a character, please remove any items or Bells you may require.
