You will be temporarily locked out from attempting to sign in to Twitter if you fail too many times. Even if you use the correct password, you will not be able to log in once your account has been locked. This lockdown lasts around an hour and goes away on its own thereafter.

You must request your account to be deactivated, and it will be destroyed after 30 days if you do not log in to it. You should update your username and email address before you delete your Twitter account, because you may need them again in the future.

Click on your profile photo in the upper left corner. Click on “Account. Scroll down to “Deactivate Your Account” and then click it. Tap “Deactivate” at the bottom of the screen.to confirm your request, type your password and tap the “Deactivate Account” button.

An account that is locked means it has a padlock on it. A protected Twitter account cannot be viewed unless you have been granted permission to do so. To limit the number of people who can read your tweets, businesses and individual users may choose to encrypt them.

In the confirmation email we sent to your email inbox, click the “not my account” link. You’ll be taken to a site that displays a screen asking you to confirm the removal of your email from that particular Twitter account.
