Your business profile will be permanently erased (if you have one) if you cancel your personal account, and Venmo will not be able to reactivate it. You won’t be able to establish another business profile linked to your personal account either.
You may use the temporary phone number method to work around this problem, which enables you to have two accounts with the same phone number. You can utilize either of the two services mentioned above – DoNotPay or Receive SMS – to receive SMS from one account while preventing your money from being sent to another account.
You can have two Venmo accounts with different bank accounts or even the same one. If you and/or your family member or partner share a joint bank account, having two Venmo accounts is a useful feature.
When you’re logged in from a computer, click “Cancel my Venmo Account” at the bottom of your profile section. You can’t cancel your account on the mobile app right now. Your personal account will be canceled as well.
Tap or click the “Login” option in the top right corner of your screen. Enter your email address or phone number linked to your Venmo account. The link from your email inbox should be tapped or clicked. Set a new password (8-32 characters) and log in.
