Go to Google.com and sign in to your Gmail account. Choose “Account” from the grid icon in the upper right corner. Click “Delete your account or services” under “Account preferences.

It is critical that we delete data from our servers in order to provide users with peace of mind. This procedure usually takes about 2 months.

You can permanently delete a message if you don’t want it to stay in your trash for 30 days.

When you delete your account, it is permanently deleted from Google servers. As a result, any data linked with your Google account will be lost. All of your data will be preserved on Google’s servers.

You won’t be able to use Google services, such as Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or Play if you delete your account. You won’t be able to access any of your data or content in that account, such as emails, files, calendars, and photographs. You won’t be able to access Google services where you sign in with that account.
