On Wikipedia, deliberate disruption or maliciousness are examples of vandalism. It is not a crime to vandalize Wikipedia. Vandalizing or otherwise disrupting the site, on the other hand, is against its usage terms.

Writing an autobiography on Wikipedia is a good example of a conflict of interest edit, and it’s strongly advised against it. It is permissible to update your own biography only if you’re removing unambiguous vandalism or clear-cut and serious breaches of our biographical living persons policy.

The process of removing material from an article without deleting the entire thing is known as “content deletion.” While a full page may only be removed using the Delete option (which is ultimately handled by an administrator), even a single unregistered editor can remove sections of a page.
