Grubhub has fired up its latest salvo in its war against order cancellation. Drivers are reporting that they’ve been notified via email that they’ve been suspended for 30 days for failing to complete enough orders.
According to the plaintiffs, drivers must accept at least 75 percent of the calls dispatched to them during their shifts. If their acceptance rate drops below 75%, or if they do not arrive at a restaurant by a specified deadline, GrubHub will dismiss them.
In general, Grubhub will not consider applicants who are documented felons, sexual offenders, violent criminals, or have a bad record. However, according to the press release, Grubhub retains the right to reject candidates based on its discretion.
There’s no option to pick your driver on DoorDash, Instacart, Postmates, Uber Eats, GrubHub, or Lyft. Instead, you’re paired with a driver based on proximity and other criteria by automated algorithms. There are no built-in tools for selecting a specific driver.
