My son is 11 and we have an account set up that automatically transfers money from his account into ours each week. He is buying things on his own now and wants to be able to access it when he needs it so he can use the app as well as just move the money around between accounts (AKA…he wants to buy something online). Is there any way possible that he could simply not have a phone number tied in with this? It seems silly since he’s old enough now, but I’m not so sure about linking him up with social media at 11.
It would seem like this will be a common request in the future.

Venmo’s terms of service require users aged 18 or older to sign up. If you’re exchanging a large amount of money through the app, they may ask for your social security number
Venmo does not allow users to share a bank account with each other.
